WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE PRICE

WIRELESS KEYBOARD ANS MOUSE
You’ll experience virtually no signal loss up to 10 meters away with Advanced 2.4 GHz connectivity. You can go for months without battery hassles 24 months for the keyboard and five months for the mouse.
The Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 uses 2.4 GHz wireless technology to connect to your computer. A small transceiver, resembling a flash drive, is included in the package. All you do is plug it into an available USB port on your computer to complete the connection. This eliminates cord clutter on your desk and gives you about 30 feet of freedom to roam. That's not too practical for performing office tasks, but it's really handy when you're using your computer as an entertainment center.

The keyboard has a typical layout with several convenient additions. There's a zoom slider centered in the generally wasted space between the left- and right-hand keys. It allows you to zoom in and out quickly and easily. Below the space bar, you'll find forward and back buttons that allow you to move between pages with one touch. Along the top, there are several silver buttons for quick access to frequently used apps and features. Five are programmable, while the fixed functions include media, mute, play/pause and volume control. There are also buttons for My Favorites and the onscreen calculator.

The tilt of the keyboard is adjustable to meet your specific preferences. There's a removable riser that elevates the front of the keyboard with the intention of reducing the angle of your wrists. If you prefer the rear to be raised, there are feet that fold down to do that. The keyboard lies nearly flat on your desk when neither the front nor back are raised. A padded wrist rest adds comfort to any orientation you choose.

The mouse features Microsoft-proprietary high-definition laser technology. It is exceptionally responsive and accurate. It also has a four-way scroll button for up, down, left and right navigation. All five buttons on the mouse are customizable using the software that is included in the package. When installed, the software places an icon on your desktop that leads to an extensive mouse properties screen. You even have the option to make software-specific settings for the buttons depending on which applications you use.

The keyboard and mouse are each powered by two AA alkaline batteries that should last for about six months with typical use. Both devices have a battery life indicator that is normally green but glows red when the batteries are low.

You control a typical mouse with your hand palm down on top of it. The mouse in this set is grasped from the side with your hand in roughly the orientation that you'd use to shake hands. As such, your hand is supported by your desk and can move in a more natural fashion, reducing fatigue and discomfort.
The mouse's comfortable use is especially important because it's a hefty piece of hardware that's larger and heavier than most mice. We didn't find that to be a drawback, but users with small hands may find it cumbersome. The side buttons are rather awkwardly placed. The scroll wheel is initially stiffer than we'd like, but it loosens slowly with repeated use.
